Nice looking dog. In all honesty, there isn't too much for me to say about this one other than that. It kinda just seems like a casual snapshot to me.

Is this a bit more creative? I do wish I had caught him a bit more face on, would have been nice to see both his eyes clearly.

Bring your baby outdoors and shoot at his/her shoulder level. Kneel down. That would be a good start. Then post again and show us what you got.

I actually like this angle. Give it an interesting crop and this might just work. Get rid of the space to the right of the dog's head (camera right) and about half of the space below his feet and you'll have a pretty nice image.
