My first post of many to come. This was taken at a Halloween party with the 24-105mm f4 L. I welcome any and all comments.

The only feedback that i have is the flash in the window and the eyes is distracting.

Cool effect of the blood on the face though looks like real splatter!

Due to it being black and white, it looks like one side of his face is really freckled. It's mostly centered. And, it's from a normal perspective that you see every day. I don't know this person, so I don't find anything particularly interesting except maybe a little creepiness. It looks like he could be a blood spattered vampire, so I would like to see some fangs and color.

As it is, this looks like a simple snap made in poor lighting with straight on flash. (good straight on flash though it is)

With that said, I welcome you and look forward to seeing your next shots.

Watch your flash. Also I think that the blood splatter could be better. To me it didn't look like blood before or after I saw the colored picture. But overall it looks like a good picture. I'm going to agree with one of the other members who commented and say that you should take it at a different angle. One of the keys to great photography is to take things from abnormal angles. Try different things. It will be fun.
