First Real Portrait Attempt (Photo heavy)

Flash works better than reflectors, honestly. (This is concerning horses.)
Usually, when you start moving large reflective boards around the horse they get spooked.
Surprisingly, the flashes don't really seem to scare the horses I've shot.
Just large flat surfaces. Setting up the soft-boxes was more frightening to the horses than the lights coming out of them.
At least in my experience anyway.

When shooting, another photographer did join me. Mostly for his own personal uses. Whenever he used his speedlite, the horse jumped and its ears went flying forward.

In a box or with the light un diffused?
The horse should definitely respond to the bare light more than through a diffused box. Larger the better.
