I took these pics for some close friends (college roommate) for their engagement. We went out for the day and drove the Peak to Peak highway in the Rocky Mountains and stopped along the way for some shots. This was my first semi-official shoot, to me that means that they formally asked me to do this and that I prepared myself as if it were a paid gig (although I didn't get cash, they did buy me a delicious lunch). here are a few of them and a link to the rest on flickr.

Comments are welcome, I had a really tough time thinking of natural poses so any ideas on how to make them look more natural would be great. Thanks

Thanks for looking, and commenting!

Also, im trying to work on getting the pics in the thread and not linked, not sure how yet...

I love them and I am sure that they will love them too.... :hugs:

I think if you crop that third one down to really feature the couple it will really be nice.

good shoot!

I think you have some LOVELY shots here! And I'm sure they will totally and utterly love them!

A couple of things I have noticed:
1. In a good number of photos they are quite orange (I'm on my uncalibrated laptop, but I usually see the colours okay on here). I assume some of it is sunset glow, but even for that it is just a bit much (IMHO).
2. In a few they are pretty centred, with lots of dead space above them.

All in all, though, these really are very, very nice! GORGEOUS location!

Thanks for the feedback, it was a HUGE learning experience for me. While i surprised myself with a few of the shots as far as my skill and creativity I also learned a ton from my mistakes...err...learning experiences. I know now to not chop off arm or legs, correct white balance a bit better, not center the subject so much, and try new things...sometimes it looks horrible and sometimes you can truly amaze yourself.

As far as the scenery, i think the peak to peak drive this time of year is some of the prettiest in CO. Its a great drive from Blackhawk to Estes Park with tons of turn offs to take pics.

yeah, i copied the flickr link into the thread but no pics show, am i doing something wrong? I followed the same procedure on another forum and the pics went into the thread so i dont know if its something i did or what....

Copy the flickr link, but click on the little button "insert images" and put the flick link in the box.
