First shots from College C + C

Well, it's been a while since I've had much time to sit down and go through some of my pictures, but I've finally arrived at my home for the next four years (and possibly more. Graduate school....yumm.) UCSB is an awesome place for photography. Santa Barbara in general is going to lend so many amazing photographic opportunities and I'm excited. I'm also ready to upgrade my camera as soon as I have funds available.

So, on a side note, within the Nikon family of cameras, does anyone have any recommendations for a step up from my D70s? I've been leaning towards very lightly used and well maintained D300 (as opposed to the D300s which is 500 some-odd dollars more for a video capability and live view). Any other suggestions?
