I just (Wednesday) shelled out for Canon's EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, which has taken up residence on my 20D. Any C&C Welcomed, the perspective on the UWA is very different to shooting with longer lenses and I'm very much still getting used to it.

1/ Worried I've overprocessed, but kind of like this look for this particular picture.
original settings: lens at 10mm, f/11, 1/90s, ISO100

2/ Feels like summer to me :) I'm happy with this and I might get a large print of it done.
Original settings: lens at 16mm, f/5.6, 1/500s, ISO100

3/ Nice shot of the riverside path, but maybe nothing special.
Lens at 10mm, f/5.6, 1/750s, ISO100

I'll confirm your worry about #1.

#2 is a very nice shot -- I might trim an inch off the bottom. Your camera's image processor or RAW converter (I'm guessing Image processor) has clipped the blue channel and as a result shifted the sky color up (magenta tint) unequally -- I see this from Canon's a lot. If you look at the blue color in the upper left corner and compare that with the upper right you'll see a big difference. The shift toward magenta gradates toward the upper right (direction of the sun) --- very attractive photo.

Congrats on the new lens. The 10-22mm is one of my favorites.

My fav is #2, I like the effect of #1 :) Even the over processing :).
