First shots with DigiRebel Xt

My digital rebel finally arrived today and I was really excited to take some shots. I still have to break it in, but I really loved this camera. Let me know what you think please. CC welcome.

This last one I focused kind of crappy, but I loved the composition. I'll have to go back and try this one again.

I'll be trying some night shots later.

I like them, though I think you might try boosting your depth of field for some of your closer up shots - I find the closer you go the greater the depth of field you often need (though number 1 looks to have a good depth).
Also I take it these are JPEG shots, once you get more confidant I would really recomend trying RAW mode - shots like number 1 when you get that overexposure in the direct sunlight on a white subject can sometimes be saved through RAW (you can set the exposure of the shot after it is taken).

Good work - esp considering the harsh light you are working in (evenings and mornings are the best times, if you can wait that is )
