First Submission--Snowy Day

Hi all. My first submission to this forum. I've been lurking a bit and reading some of your helpful suggestions. Looking forward (and a bit nervous) to hearing your opinions of this one.

Nothing to be nervous about, that's a very nice image that you've posted. It's a little small to really pick up on detail, but it looks like you've done a good job of exposure on a generally difficult subject, and you've nicely composed teh two trees. Depending on the time of day and your position relative to the sun, a circ-polarizing filter may have greatly increased the blue in the sky, but overall a very nice effort. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Looks either slightly over exposed or like a slight lack in contrast. On a bright snowy day, try using a neutral density filter. It'll soften harsh light and add some nice contrast (especially if youre shooting b&w).
