First time for CC...

I'm not really going to comment on the portraits because I don't know anything about portait work. The only thing that sticks out to me is with #2, looks like the kid is looking up between someone thighs. Could be wrong, but it looks like seams to trousers.

I really like #2. The light gleams nicely IMO, nice framing between the trees, you got the front of the structure in frame, and a nice foreground with stairs.

Thanks for the feedback. In #2 those are trousers the kid looking up through. Not sure why but for some reason I really like that shot. Thanks again!

#1 Good soft light on him but watch your white balance, it's a bit blue, making him look very very pale. The background is very bright and busy... be careful with that.

#2 Interesting, kind of humorous. I don't think it works well by itself, but perhaps if it was with a series of similar images of him it would be nice. There's just not enough information here to have any idea why he's there, what he's looking at...etc.

#3 Technically it's okay for what it is. I find the harsh orange lights to be a little off-putting. Perhaps a B&W conversion would be appropriate?

#4 Exposure is spot on and you even got a little catchlight in his eyes. I like the framing and light quality for it being a quick grab-type shot. I personally don't get into seeing people's tongues though, but some might think it's cute.

I'm not a fan of dark eye sockets (raccoon eye) like in #4.

I like #3. It is tilted to the left. The church's lighting gives it an orange feel. I'd love to see that shot taken a little later in the day when there is more blue to the sky and you can set white balance to tungsten to compensate for the exterior lights.

I really like # 3. I like how the light on the church and shadows make it almost glow.

The portraits are great! On the 2nd one, for some reason, I keep wanting to crop off the bottom, but that's just me.

I'm still really new and don't know a ton about editing and everything yet but these are some cool shots!

I really like #1, but I'd blur the background more as the bokeh is distracting.

Your focus is excellent. #3 is good but looks a little crooked. The children are cute, but their photos look like snapshots. Try dressing them up and finding somewhere interesting to take portraits.

I agree....that church shot would look amazing in b&w. I like it as is, too. As for the kid looking up between legs, I like the composition but the pant seams??? Same photo looking through wood slats, bleachers, whatever....then you simply have innocent mischief.

The first image is slammin! Love that killer bokeh...I can just run my fingers right through it : ) His skin tone is a little cold but easily warmed up in Photoshop so no worries there. Still a kick butt image! For the church shot just watch your leveling...it is a little cocked. Other then that I love those two images. The kid looking through the legs is a little bit strange(concept) but the focus is still on and the exposure/lighting is good. #4 has some dark eyes which I try to avoid. But overall I'm a fan : )
