First time portraits for C&C

These are far far too soft. Did you apply a blur or something in PP? If not and its the focus there something wrong with the way you're shooting(or your camera). No2 looks noisey & wonky and number one just make me want to tilt my head which imo isn't good. No3 is a good idea with the logs, but again way too soft and those logs behind need to be straight.

I love the bridge in shot #2. A few niggles though. I can see you needed the selective colour to counter the leading lines that are taking away from your subject. With the darkness, it does create tension in the pic. For a "portrait", it is very dark and noisy. It was a fairly easy fix because you have converted to BW, but I am not sure if it would be as successful in the colour image.
Here is a PP on the image:

What was done in PS:
- duplicated and screened the original to recover detail in the faces
- topaz denoise for NR
- sharpened with a duplicate layer, blend mode linear light, and 2.1. The amount will change on the full resolution image
- brought saturation back in because the PP washed out the selective colour a little.

Be sure to check you are level, especially with the strong verticals in the shot.

#1,3 and 4 I think are compositionally off along with the soft editing. I also am not a big fan of tilted shots, it doesnt work here.
I like #2 as a spooky looking shot.
Keep working at it.
