First time: Trying off camera flash.

So the other half and I went to the river and shot some photos with my two speedlisghts.
I mounted them on tripods and angled them around.
IMO its not bad but obviously nothing to write home about.
Using the 135 soft focus at 50 ISO and 1/100 @ f2.8, with a small amount of post, this is what I wound up with:

Nice and sharp on your model, and the out of focus backround looks good too.

The lighting is even, but perhaps looks a little flat - using 2 flashes plus natural light can sometimes be too even, some shadow can be good.

Yes, maybe a bit too much illumination. Not enough shadow. I used to own the Canon 135mm f/2.8 Soft Focus. Never used it much...

For a first time I think you did alright...it does not look obviously "flash-lighted", but instead looks a lot like overcast daylight.Your next attempt will likely build upon this experience.

The interesting part is that the sun was behind her and the flashes at 45 degrees and low.
