First time with lighting equipment for CC

Firstly, i love your futurama reference sig.

If you're still lookin for critics, i'll just chip in and say this is under exposed, i'm also doing a project where i'm trying to get a moody vibe going and i've been using ''barndoors'' on my tungsten bulbs then correcting them with a filter, it makes such a better light and shadow.

Just needs some processing imo. Attractive gf willing to get in front of the camera, oh how I wish I had one... Forever Alone :(

Anyway, some contrast, skin softening with the blur tool, color manipulation (to even the skin tones, pull the blue out of her hand and leg/stocking), darken the background a bit with viveza 2.

To get this effect with just lighting, you'd probably want to use a grid or a modifier that causes light to 'fall off' quickly, to leave the background darker.

Also be careful with wider lenses (35 isn't really that wide, especially on a 1.5x crop) and putting heads/faces in the corners of the frame. It can cause the facial features to distort.

That edit is beautiful. Now even i'd tap that.

Definitely his g/f...

Thanks for the compliment on the edit though.

Haha i have a boyfriend anyway and i don't think he'd approve, he already thinks i'm a lesbian *sigh*
