Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Well decided to try some editing and working on getting a little more serious into photography. Here are a few shots I took yesterday that I worked on this morning. Did it all with iPhoto going to look into getting a little better editing software soon. Let me know what ya think and what you would do different. Criticism welcome.

Without seeing the 'before' images (I'm assuming you're posting the 'after's...), it's hard to make any comments.

Not bad; the expanded, dynamic range look is a tad strong, a bit of halo around the colour shots of the dogs in the field. I thought the colours a bit oversaruated in #3 of those - they all look a bit 'muddy' dense, like they need the mids lifting/brightening. The shooters in the field needs brightening a bit. the ducks in the pond: the cropped format of that, and especially the background scene, is unattractive. It may not matter to you, but, if you are intending to photograph the dogs like this, I'd tidy up the collar - how it sticks out like that doesn't look good, imo.

Don't know about the monitor. Agree with the halo on the dog pictures and just noticed it on here on my phone didn't notice it on the computer. What causes the halo? Guess I'm gonna have to do some reading on this cause don't know what you are talking about with the mids needing lifting. Guess I will start on some research this week.

And I agree on the collar being tidied up these were just some shots I snapped to try out editing and see how it works.

What program do y'all like for editing? Have heard elements is good but have been seeing some bad reviews lately on their last version. I will be using it on a Mac book pro if that matters.

Ok what do I need to calibrate it? What tools and software do you recommend.
