What's new

first try at HDR C&C please

It always helps to know how many exposures you took and what software was used for processing

it looks good, though i'm not sure this image warrants HDR; more so a long exposure.

I agree. The processing looks good but overall I think you could have gotten the same with a single exp

Very nice photo. The pipe in the foreground is a little distracting.

I like it. I don't think you would have gotten the same result with a single exposure. Photomatix has given you some interesting shadows and value transitions that would have been tough to pull out of a 0EV exposure without a lot of noise.

I agree. It's an excellent first attempt and I don't see being able to pull off the same result on a single exposure. A good challenge to try out at this point would be to see how much noise you can eliminate, especially in the sky using photomatix. I've had good luck getting the noise out of black night skies in photomatix without having to use noiseware or masking in PS.

Agree with these two. Single exposure would have been a complete and utter mess of noise - not just in the sky, but in the window areas too.

I also like the picture.

yea noise is one of my biggest problems.. im shooting with a d3000 which i got for a gift so anything over 400 iso at night has too much nooise.. im looking for to getting a 300s or 7000 soon and then ill also have auto bracketing
