Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
You may also have some old cameras in your collection whose manufacturer you can't identify.
I too have this annoying problem with several of my cameras.
One of my pleasures in collecting cameras is to know where and when they were manufactured, to gather related documents of the time and to know about its history.
This is one of these unidentified item
Camera N°1:
Folding camera with aprox. 9x12 cm format plates. Lens/shutter block made by Gundlach Optical Co Rochester. Lens is a f. 6.2 (Gundlach Turner Reich anastigmat ?).
Purchased in France, I do not know if all the camera is from Gundlach or if the lens/shutter block has been fitted on a europeen camera body.
If this thread obtain some interest, I may post for other unknown old gear in my collection, one by one....to manage the suspense.

Just Google "gundlach optical rochester."

The company is no mystery to me. What I need is information about this particulqr camera

All you can likely do is explore available photos and catalogs referenced above. Could be a custom/one-off job made from recycled parts. Who knows?

In fact, I'd like, at the very least, to find a trace of this shutter facade with such a distinctive shape.
But for the time being, nothing similar in photos or catalogs I could find.
It could help to date it (probably c 1896 - 1900)
