First time trying to get a water drop! Probably one of the most popular, so I had to give it a try for myself :) :lmao:

Looks good, what did you do to get the green, add food coloring? I like it though.

Add a tad of yellow food coloring, had paper on bottom and 3 sides of the bowl

Drops are fun fun fun!! I think you need to change up your angle. The looking down angle doesn't give you a good DoF. Keep shooting!!
Take a look at this........

I shot that in a small measuring cup. I had to use that angle to get the lines out of the way. I am in the process of finding a better cup/glass to shoot out of. When using my tripod, I wasn't achieving my desired shots

But thank you for CC I will try it out soon!

Yeah, I'm going to try a new one today with a shallower container and new angle!

Hey, pretty cool. Thanks for the video link, too. I am glad you cropped the image. The corners in the "100% view" (esp. the upper left) were distracting.

Last time I did this, I used a 10 gallon fish tank, and ocf. I shot through the glass and was able to get an almost straight on angle.

Just food for thought.

WOOOOHOOOO!! They look sooo much better!! Great job!! Now that you have the basics down think outside of the box and get creative w/ it!!

something about the color in the first one I just love! but I did do it again today with paper underneath and on the sides to give it the orange color... Only difference is angle, and I used a plastic container for leftovers. Last time I used glass (that's why I think I got more color)
