I recently bought a refurbished d-90 and I love it.
I used to have just a point and shoot.
The level of clarity in the pictures is so much better.
Here's a few that I've taken so far with a 50mm 1.8
These are all SOOC

C&C is very welcome.
thank you.

I am still a noob but they all seem to be underexposed and seem to be out of focus

Congrats on the new camera.

It is best to number your pics for easy reference, especially if you are going to post so many.

What was the intended focus in photo 1, the instrument panel or the photo?

Did you intend to take a picture of the back of the young lady's head in photo 4 or was the guy behind her your intended subject?

pretty cool. i agree with cardinal1970. looks a bit underexposed to me as well

In picture one intended focus was the photo.
in photo four I was focused on the back of her head.
I just liked that he was looking to the side in the background.

Why put the focal point of the image in the extreme lower left corner?

As it turns out most people in the westeern hemisphere first scan an image by starting in the upper left and moving to the right, because that's the way we write. So it takes the eye a while to get down to the lower left corner. another trait most people have is looking where someone else is looking, and since the photo is pointed to the left making it seem she is also looking to the left, the viewers eye is immediate moved out of the large photo.

in photo four I was focused on the back of her head.
Few people are compelled to look at photos of the back of someones head, Faces ar much more interesting. In fact, facial recognition (and interest) is an in-born human trait.

I just liked that he was looking to the side in the background.
He is OOF, and consequently of secondary interest at best.

Learn about the various guidelines for visual image composition, like the rule-of-thirds;

Agreeing with others
The focus is off, and most of them are underexposed
Keep shooting, takes some time of getting used to
