I'd try it in landscape layout and play with the rule of thirds. Nice subject though.

Hmmm. I tend to agree with ChrisB on the composition ... and I am not sure this one has the sharpness you really wanted it to have. Which is hard to tell at 450x302px ... but then this small size makes me wonder WHY you are showing us the photo in this small size. Small photos let little flaws pass more easily than larger ones!

I’m OK with the portrait layout, but I would crop it to a 4x5 format by cutting some off the bottom

I'm not sure how to upload a larger version but when I look at the larger one it doesn't seem to be out of focus.
