Flash Diffusers

Good info... I've been leary (read: scared to death) about diving into the world of flash but alas, it's a necessary evil me thinks.

I thought it was hard too but once you get the flash and go through the 50 or so blown out/underexposed shots, you start getting the hang of it. Most of the flash technical stuff is actually already in your head, you just don't know it (ex: bouncing light is like playing pool).

As for the Gary Fong diffuser, look at that other thread linked by inTempus. That over-priced piece of plastic does not live up to its hype and there are 2 sets of test shots to show you that it's not worth its hefty price.
