I have two of these that I use all the time. It's true that they aren't insanely powerful, but they do what they are meant to do. I never leave my on camera flash in TTL mode when using these. I generally turn down the flash on camera to 1/32 power and use that to trigger the MS-1's. Works like a charm!

Awesome, I checked out some of your work and I have to say Im inspired. Because I have basically the same setup, 2 MS-1's and an SB -800 on my D40, with work and school I haven't had a chance to even pick them up LOL Some day though, good work.
