Flash units for Pocket Wizards

I am planning on doing a lot of sports photography this year that would benefit greatly from wireless flash. The pocket wizard Plus II's look to be a good start for me and I plan on buying 3.

My question is: I know the canon speedlights are not the best suited for these and I am wondering what others use to with their pocket wizards.

The Canon flash units should work just fine with P.W.s...you just have to use then with manual power, rather than E-TTL metering.

If that's all you want to use them for, you could go with something cheaper like Sunpak, Vivitar etc.
