Just thought I would share this photo with you guys and girls, taken from just behind my house in Yorkshire back in June 2007, comments are welcome.
This was certainly devastating for you folks during this time. My heart went out to the region. Impressive capture.
It rained for approx 2 days, never seen anything like it, ill post some more later today, luckily my house was only one in area not flooded.
Reminds me of all we saw during our summer holiday in South-West England in July. The news were full of the flooding in Tewkesbury and Gloucester - similar pictures. I wasn't aware Yorkshire was hit as hard! What amazed me was how soon this devastating coverage disappeared first from the top slot on the TV news and then from national news altogether. During the second week of our stay only "Points West" and similar regional programmes covered the floods and their disastrous effects! Learnt a new word, too: bowser... Anyway - what a dreadful time taht must have been for all concerned!!!!
