Florida duck and squirrel portraits

Look forward to seeing your edit!

I didn't have much to work with. The file was ........well...........it was really small.
But here's a quicky.

I like the way the lights coming in hitting the concrete that the squirrel is........standing on or whatever.

Don't take note of the sharpening artifacts. I exported the file for fine sharpening on glossy. And some other shyt..whatever I have going on at the time. lol
It was an accident. Yes..........as hard as this may be to believe,,,,,,,,I do make a mistake here and there.
Anywho........look at the color. I could work that up better. And remove some.....and add some.................until its damn near dead on.

This is funny, I've just got back from a day of shooting Squirrels and this is the first thread i've looked at all day. I really like 3, you're lucky to have inquisitive squirrels in Florida. In England they run away before you see them. I'll post mine later :)

They're normally skittish here too. So I was surprised. I've heard in New York in central park they're really trusting and will even let you touch them.

Need to take a trip over to New York, Although the Isle of Wight is filled with red squirrels which is near to me. I've also edited your number 3, i'll post it later with my squirrel picture because i'm about to eat.

#3 looks like he is ready to pounce lmao

In both pictures 1 & 3 you captured the personality of the squirrels, but the exposures are really off. Lightspeeds' quick edit works for the squirrel, but the background just seems to bright to me.

The 1st duck shot works for me in that it's not your usual duck we see up there on Long Island. Composition is pretty good, but it's a little under exposed as all the belly feathers have no detail to them.

LS, you overdid the edit & forgot to plumb the tree.
I know Ron. I was in a hurry.
I was gonna go overboard with the edit but it wasn't enough file to work with.
I wanted to try to mask the tree out, fix the squirrel, then come back to the tree later.
It was just too late and by that time, I had about 4 drinks in me. lol

Thanks everyone. The squirrels were amazing, they were actually attracted to my camera. They're usually very shy, but about 6 of them came up and climbed on/up to me to see the camera and stayed around for over an hour. I got quite a few shots of them.

Are you sure you were not shooting the sqirrels naked ? and they were so shocked i'm sure i can see a reflection in it's eye

Lol. I'm normally extremely open to CC, but these are one of those few times I'm going to have to politely disagree. I guess the contrasts could be stronger, but I really don't think the color/exposure is off. These photos are very acurrate as to what was in front of me.

Thanks everyone.
