Flowers and such

No opinions?

First impressions: 1) this is not bad, but it looks a bit underexposed, but I do like the detail you have captured on the inner bits of the flowers (I can never remember the appropriate names.) 2) Not too bad, but I would have cropped out the building in the upper right as it is a distraction from the main subject of the image. 3) Background ruins this one. The flower looks like it has some kind of a tube sticking out its right side. 4) Again, not too bad, but the background (brown flooring?) is a bit of a distraction.

With the small amount of background in #2 and #4, you could maybe have moved a bit to the right or left and completely removed the distracting background from the image. With #3, you either have to change position relative to the background, use a smaller f-stop to completely render it OOF, or get down lower and shoot the top of the flower with the sky as the background. HTH.

Thanks for the ideas, I didnt even think about cropping them. Shooting them from the top up never even crossed my mind, that would have looked awesome because the sky looked incredible. Thanks again man.

These are really nice, I agree with WesternGuy's comments. My favs would be the first 2. Maybe for the 2nd shot you could use a graduated filter to drop the exposure of the building in the top right corner, would make it less distracting.

Thanks man, I appreciate the advice
