Flowers, My first try

I'm having a lot of fun with this stuff. I would not have guessed I'd enjoy the macro stuff so much. I've got a lot to learn, but here's my first try.

These were with the kit 18-55 using extension tubes.

I've tried my 35mm prime, but hadn't had much success.

I'm enjoying it enough that I'm ready for a macro lens.

I like the bees shot best too. Here are my reasons
- The small depth of fields makes the background soft, while the flower is sharp
- the bee on the flower is really sharp
- The flying bee has a very subtle wing and makes the image magical

Number one is nice too
I don't like #2 as much, too busy!
Keep on shooting, this is promising!

I can see how #2 is too busy. I had hoped to learn a little about how dof would work there and I did at least learn a little. It was actually a little different than what I expected. I didn't think the angle was that good in that photo either.

I do seem to like #1 for some reason. I realize it's not special in any way, but is fun to me for some reason.
