Fluffballs

[Terrier]

It is that time of the year again when these little fluffballs have recently hatched and are out and about exploring the world.

But beware the parent birds are on high alert, fully armed and ready to launch in defence of their babies. The Masked Lapwings are totally fearless in defence of their young, ready to take on anyone and anything that gets too close.

The "Spurs" are not just for decoration.

Interesting bird. I have to say the spurs look formidable. The chicks are cute.

Real nice set and they're (ducklings ) the cutest! Not easy getting everything tack sharp when the camera has a mind of it's own. I battle with that constantly.

I didn't notice them until you mentioned them and you're right. Reminds me of bat wings.
