~ SHR LAKE C HAFFEE'S AUTUMN LEGACY O' TRAD FINIAN MAC JH ~ "

Me 20 month old Labrador Retriever gun dog trainee MAC is seen during a "whistle stop" whilst we were hunting pheasants. MAC has been trained to immediately face in me direction and SIT upon hearing a single peep on me whistle. Whilst in the SIT, he is to maintain that position and intensive visual focus on me until the next command is given, verbally, a whistle signal is blown, or a gestural cue is given to him to release him from the SIT and to send him in a specified direction.

Communication betwixt meself and me dogs can be by verbal command, whistle signal, or completely silent as directed by gestural cues that they have been trained to respond to. MAC is advancing through his training continually and with great progress being made.

MAC is a quick study and is truly a great deal of fun to watch whilst he is working afield.

Nice looking pup Mike! He has an appearance of a very intelligent dog. You must have tremendous patience to have accomplished such a vast amount of training in such a short period of time. Good work! :icon_thumleft:
I don't wish to make light of your work but wouldn't it be great if Christmas shoppers at Walmart could learn this level of obedience? :biglaugh:Kind of puts a twist on the phrase; "Its a dog eat dog world".

Panda, Thanks Mate. I train and compete with Labs so MAC has had professional level training from his earliest days including very early sensory stimulation as a developing pup. I am a retriever specialist and mainly work with Labrador retrievers from selective breedings. MAC is an accomplished gun dog trainee and is still undergoing developmental training.

When in public venues with my K9 trainees, I am often asked if I train kids and husbands. I usually reply, I much prefer to work with dogs.
