Foggy Fairhaven Sunrise

This is one of those spots that I keep returning to in hopes of catching the perfect light. Today I saw a promising forecast, so I got up at 0330 to take the two hour drive there for the sunrise once again. This is definitely my best attempt yet, the fog added an unexpected mystique to the image that I quite enjoy.

Shot on my Fuji X-T20 with the 10-24 f/4 and a format-hitech firecrest CPL filter. This is actually another time blend image. The image used for the sky was taken about 8-10 minutes before the image used for the foreground. They were blended together using a very soft brush on a layer mask in photoshop.. nothing fancy at all. The fog made the blend super easy and realistic looking, at least to me.

Very nice. Your blending approach made me do a "WTH didn't I think of that?". So simple but effective. Thanks for the tip.
