Nice black and whites, although I would have liked to have seen more detail in the trees and the sky (if it is there). The second one looked like it had the Loch Ness Monster in it until I enlarged it and discovered it was just an old snag.

I am also interested in how the conversion was done.

The sky was overcast, so I tried to minimize it. The conversion was performed using camera raw by converting to grayscale and adjusting the contrast and other sliders.
