I took this for my friend, who's doing some promotion for a footwear company called Odessa.

The whole thing was pretty 'on the fly' i.e. I didn't have most of my equipment with me so they're not being used for the final adverts - it was more of a preliminary shoot so that we could see what worked. In view of the fact that I'll be reshooting with proper lighting etc in a week or so, what advice can you guys offer me?
 
The perspectives great, just a shallower dof like theyve said here and maybe not so much of an alarming background color like the blown out sky.

Thanks for the advice, I'll see what I can do about that depth of field. Karalee - would you suggest exposing for the sky and using flash? I'm not sure how much difference it would make, because the sky in England is that colour for about 9 months of the year!
