I guess this actually belongs into the Darkside Gallery, as this stretch of land always reminds me of a very dark day in my life, January 26, 2006, the day on which I lost my polarizer right here, in amongst all this :roll: :cry:

See. I did not find it, either - and true fact is that you can only step onto this ground when it is frozen, which it was on that day of last January, but once it is "normal" it is all swamp, as it is the flood plain of the little river in the background.

only if your polariser has the right type of metal mount, then one might be able to find it using a metal detector. but I doubt it will

Did I mention I once lost a telezoom? It was attached to my belt in a black lens pouch. unfortunately the attachment tore and it slipped from my belt unnoticed while I was walking for miles in a black volcanic desert.

Can you imagine the fun of searching something black in black sand?? I walked back for I think 2 miles searching everywhere. In the end I luckily found it ... but that was a looong day I tell you

I did not ... I went back on the following day and searched the whole area high and low, and after that we had a thaw and I am sure my dear little filter sank into the mud. It is only a 58-filter, you know. Sniff-sniff :cry:
