Well a cloudy damp day and a dead car battery put a halt on my plans for today, so I spent a little time on the anchor chain shots from a previous post. I liked this one so here it is. Comments and Critiques are always welcome of course.

Thanks Gary, but no, as you can see by this website, they have the chain circling the anchor. When I came up with the idea, I was hoping to walk up on a pile of this chain, but found a single strand instead. You can see on the far side of the anchor where there is a small gathering of the chain. That where I grabbed this shot.

Great shot Rick, I spent 4 years as a boatswains mate on the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63)... the detachable anchor chain links weighed in at 360lbs a piece.

...and I thought it was a pain to move these links into position. On your ship you'd need a folk lift just to move a link!

Aint no room a forklift under the flight deck on a bird-farm, we did it by hand. Deck apes tattoos, "Hinged elbows, Hold Fast & Nev'r fail".
