Yesterday was a little warmer than we have had recently, so I drug my husband out to the zoo to play with my new 300 lens. The good about going to the zoo in January? There were no people in the way. The bad? There weren't many animals out either...

I was a little disappointed -- many of the animals were far off or were freezing, so they were just huddled up trying to stay warm, but I did manage to get a few decent shots. Below are my favs, the rest are in my Photobucket gallery if you happen to want to see more

I really like #1 and #7. Shame about the blur in #6.

Good job! Especially on the ones you shot through glass. My faves are 5, 7 and 8 (great light in #8)

Thanks Yes, it is unfortunate. I had several that had clipped highlights too. I think the slight blur is due to the wire cage I was shooting through :thumbdown:

I was really happy that I got ANY to turn out through the glass (#2 &#7). I was also trying out my new polarizer filter, which seemed to work wonders on the reflections and sky!

Nice pictures. I really like #5 and #6. I have alwas wanted to go to the zoo and take pictures.
