I saw the first bee of the season nearly a month ago, now. I remember thinking the same thing--yay!! The bees and creepy critters are back!

Now they're all OVER the place. Almost got stung on Saturday, had a constant buzzing around my ears as the bumblebees kept flying around me. Ants have absolutely *invaded* my house. And then today, I discovered a TICK. On the back of my ear. UGH. Thing must have been there since Saturday--I always check my hair and such, but the back of my ear? Really?

Still, they DO make for some great macro material! And they DO mean it's warm, so I like that. But ticks already? That's just unnecessary. :D

I like the closeup by the way (#2). Just wish that bee wasn't facing the wrong way.

yeah, he would not turn around. lol. I'm surprised it came out ok for a crop. was not a heavy crop really, but still a crop.

Nice! I was standing under a cherry tree the other day, the entire thing was humming! I tried out some reverse macro but failed miserably. Always next time :)

:-) I love bees....good to practice on.

this was shot with a 70-300 @300 at f/13 (I've found best results on this lens at f/11 or f/13) from about 5 feet away. lol
