Fox in Winter

Just ran across this in my files from December 2008. I remember sitting in my front window recliner and feeling as if I was being watched. When I turned to look out the window heres what I saw looking in at me from the snow drift about 10 feet away. The D50 was on the table next to me and I was able to get a few quick shots through the snow streaked windows before he moved off.

That's a terrific shot! I just looked at it at full size. Every hair on its face and head is tack sharp!! Well done.

Beautiful, at least the fox part. I never wish to see snow again. Well, ok but only in photos.

is it me or is there some dark magenta haze in the shot? The fox looks washed out and the snow I think shows the discolouration as well. Maybe try adjusting the saturation menu and removing some if not all of the magenta channel. You might also find that the curves tool and/or levels might also help remove the haze on this otherwise great shot.
