why do so many people hate having the camera brand names on their straps?

I wondered the same, and the only thing I could think of was the theft thing.

Problem is, anyone who is into photography will know your camera is a Nikon without seeing "Nikon" on the strap. Anyone who is into theft could care less what brand it is. They will know it is an expensive camera without any name being shown just from looking at the camera.

i ordered mine on 12/30 and it came in today (1/17) so that only took em like 2.5 weeks or so to get here :thumbup:

it seems to be a nice neoprene-like material, stretchy a bit too. heres a pic

I keep thinking that if I'm going to do a lot of film work for anything, I'll move it over to the heavy 8000i, but since I'm using the Alpha so much more these days, it stays there.

I really wish they'd let us in on the secret of who makes these, since I'd like to have a bag strap made to the same design.
