Not bad lighting wise. The eyes could have used a little fill light as they are kind of dark. As far as composition goes... far too much head space for my liking. I'm also not fond of the position her left arm is in.

why not post after you've edited? (I never understand that)
.

I agree with Destin here, the lighting is good but the framing is awkward.

You have a very good point... Im new to this, I'll edit some and then re-post these later! Thanks :)

You should familiarize yourself with the difference between "broad lighting" and "short lighting" subjects. Short lighting will be more flattering for subjects with rounder facial features. Your subject here is broad lit.

Thanks I will look it up and do research, on the both lightings. Every bit of help and advice helps!

After briefly looking it up, I see the difference in the 2. I will definitely will be keeping this in mind for next time!! Thank you Kundalini

I'm not OP (obviously) but if you asked me that I woulod say 'see what others think I should do with the pic before wasting hours in post'. I think it makes more sense to do a before and after editing shot rather than waste your time in post not really knowing what direction you are going in. (for beginers like myself anyway). plus it's always nice to know that you actually took a good pic rather than photoshopped a good pic out of garbage.

I do understand that but perhaps giving PP a try and posting both for review if that was the original motivation. ;)

We can teach the OP more about photography by seeing the unedited image.

If the OP wants editing pointers then the edited photos should be posted in;
Graphics Programs and Photo Gallery
A place to show off your post processing skills, with explanations on how you achieved the results, including specialty images such as HDR. Share information and techniques using Adobe's Photoshop and other popular graphics software.

Looks like you missed the focus in the last two you posted.

It's far better to get it as close to right as possible in the camera, than fixing things post process.

Consider fixing the under exposure and raccoon eyes (very dark eye sockets) too while you're at it.

I recommend you learn more about 'photographic lighting' because you're not using available light effectively, which is actually more difficult (and often more equipment intensive) than using strobed lighting (flash).

The camera tilt is ineffective. The tree being bright and at an angle grabs the eye, not your intended main subject and the strong diagonal line of the tree instills a sense of motion to a staionary subject.

Quick and dirty;
