Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
This is my friends kids, they're super sweet. I tried to go for the brighter look in most of these. Unfortunately in a few of them I went too far. These are the ones I have edited so far. Enjoy and constructive criticism is super welcome! I have a lot to learn. *EDIT* Added images 4,5, & 6.

I love two and three. Three is my favorite. That being said I would put the girl on the other side of the tree so that the sun hits her face rather than her entire being in shadow.

Thanks JD! I have some of her on the other side of the tree. I'll try to get those edited. :)

I like them! #1 looks like they are looking into the sun but maybe it's just the angle the girl on the right has. #2 I would like better if the light was evenly distributed over both of them. I think if they were two separate pictures within #2, it would be better. I agree with JD about #3 too. Can't wait to see those when you edit them!

Great shoot and I like the DOF in them...

Thanks Karri! Here's a new one for you and JD!

4. **EDIT** Added to original post.

Cute!! I like this picture more - it has better lighting - any way to get that house within the right background out of the picture? It's a little distracting...

Yeah, just edited that last post to say I forgot to do that. I'm working on it now.

There we go! Trailer fixed!

Overall they are nice. Shooting in the sun is HARD at any time of day...imo. I'm hoping to learn how to accomplish better photos in the sunlight...part of my New Years resolutions list of photography goals!

#1 - Has a few hot spots on it and you can tell the girl on the right is having trouble looking into the sun. Did you edit the white in her eyes? Her left eyeball looks weird.

#2 - The girl on the right has blown spots due to the sun on the left side of her face/body. I try to shoot in the shade whenever possible...especially when photographing more than one person. Or BOTH in the sun so the lighting is equal.

#3 - I'm having trouble finding the exact focus point here. Maybe it's motion blur? I know little one's can be hard to catch!!

#4 - Best of the bunch! I agree the house is a bit distracting though.

Thanks Jen! I think the focus fell on the tree, actually. There might have been motion blur, but I think I was at like 1/500 or so. Up there somewhere. She was quick, but such a cutie! ;)

The girls had very little choice of what grass to lay on, lol. It came a flood last night and this was pretty much the only spot we could find that didn't have standing water. Mom wanted the shot, so I did the best I could, but looking back at it, I think it might have actually been the Mom's shadow shading the one girl. Doh!

The girls in 1 both have eye work, Screened layer of eyes set at 10% I think. Her eyes looked a little odd in the original too. I think it did have something to do with them looking into the sun. Learned on that one!

Trailer should be gone in the repost on the last one. :)

I saw that right after my post!! (trailer fixed) Looks great! You can't even tell it was there!

Sometime I'll purposely have the parents make shade for me! lol It's SO hard. They say sunset, but then the sun is either in their eyes or yours....or making half of them blown if it's to the side!! Daytime sun makes the tops of their heads glow! I just don't know....I've tried using flash fill with my SB600, but I honestly don't know how to use the thing!

I'm taking a photography class in Chicago on the 29th on black and white conversion!! Very excited about it. I hope they offer one on outdoor photography this Spring.

Added 2 more photos to OP. :)

Pictures 2, 3 and 4 are the best images because thay have life in them. The posed images look posed, maybe once you haver them in roughly the position you want them get them to stand up spin around and sit down when you say go. When they have done it they will react to you to check if they did right, thats when you take the picture. That way the expressions are real, fake smiles never tell you anything about the subject avoid saying smile at all costs!!!. Otherwise very good.

Drats Robin, I'm out of thanks! But thanks! They are posed, the tree with the little girl was actually me just catching her play. :D The bigger girl had a very "posey" smile in almost every picture. I like your idea and I'll use it next time!
