Weddings.....are.....tough. There is a ton of pressure. I personally think weddings are one of the toughest things to photograph, and it shouldn't be taken lightly. Things happen quickly, and they only happen ONCE - you can't do it over. Definitely try to shadow a wedding photographer before you take this on. Because - when it's all said and done, when the cake has been eaten and the dress is stored away, the thank you notes written and the honeymoon is a distant memory, all you have left are the photos. I agree with the posters before mine that say that you should find out why she doesn't trust the professionals. Perhaps she thinks they are ripping her off, financially?
