lets see if i have these pegged, 1 and 4 are juvenile rough-legged hawks, 2 and 3 are juvenile red-tales (the same one at the looks) and the 5th is a sage grouse. do i have these right?

I believe you have the hawks right, the 5th is a hen pheasant.

They are hard to tell apart without a size reference. But Cooper's hawks and young Redtales are almost identical. The Cooper is a fair amount smaller. The neck on 2 & 3 seems a little shorter than that of a Redtailed to me, I very well could be wrong. The Redtailes in our area have a little more white under there chin. This might just be regional. it could also be an individual thing, but they are both red-tails
#5 was hard to tell since its a western N America bird and i just had the eastern sibleys with me
