Frosted plexiglas

Hi everyone,

I just joined and already have questions. . . :blushing:

Does anyone know where to buy frosted plexiglas online in the UK (or anywhere in Europe)

I'm trying to build myself a still-life table but I can't seem to find this type of material, or at least under that name.

Can you find plain clear plexiglass?

it's really easy to get the frosty look doing it yourself. You can either use the spay stuff on the bottom side that people use on windows to look like snow, or sanding the bottom with a rough grit.

The reason why I say do only one side is so that you get the look and still have a nice smooth top surface.

i agree with dizzy...buy clear and sand one side...you should have some control over how frosted it gets.

you can also buy window matting (not matting, but you squeegee it onto the glass) but it lets light through, but you can't make out any details. it's often used for privacy. You should be able to find it at a hardware store.
