Yea, I've also had no problems with them using some cheap Yongnuo remote triggers. Keep in mind that at 35mm, your SB800 has a GN of 125' and these SB-28's have a GN of 118', so they are slightly less powerful than your SB800 but not much. As a comparison, the SB-600 has a GN of only 98' and the SB-700 has a GN of only 92' .
