Selling the following because I recently upgraded to the Nikon D600:

1. Canon Rebel XSi DSLR body - $250 net to me + shipping [SOLD]
This is a great beginners camera. I have the box and manuals as well.
Amazon Link: Amazon.com: Canon Digital Rebel XSi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens - Black: Camera & Photo

2. Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 lens, Canon mount - $375 net to me + shipping
This is a great all purpose lens! Sells for $500 on amazon. This lens was my one goto lens. A must have for anyone not looking to spend $1500 for a similar Canon branded lens.
Amazon Link:Amazon.com: Tamron AF 28-75mm f/2.8 SP XR Di LD Aspherical (IF) for Canon Digital SLR Cameras: Electronics
I have the box the lens came in.

Buy them both for $575 net to me + shipping

I will be more than happy to meet up at a public place if you are in the NYC/NJ area.

On doing a little more research, I think I priced these a little high...

Price reduced to:

Canon XSI Body - $ 200 net to me
Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 - $325 net to me

Take both for $500 net to me..

Cheers!

I admit you have great prices here! Good luck on the sale, but I will keep my eye on it, if I change my mind. The canon xsi is real tempting. Only if I didn't have five cameras floating around! LOL!

Thank you sir. Let me know if you change your mind.

Nobody wants an entry level camera with a much more than an entry level lens?

People tend to not buy from brand-new users to the forum. It's human nature, I guess.

That being said, the Tamron 28-75 is a fantastic value for the money when bought new. Your price – assuming your lens is in tip-top shape – makes it an even better value.

Comparing it to the L series lenses.. a little over-zealous..

he didnt compare the Tamrons quality to the Canon L lenses...he just said it was a great lens if you DONT want to spend $1500 on a Canon L lens. i think its pretty fair.

Definitely did not mean that the Tamron is as good in quality as a Canon L series lens... All I wanted to say was that this is a very good cheaper option if one does not want to spend on a L series lens.. The Image quality on these lenses are quite good in my opinion... Sorry if anyone thought that I was trying to mis-represent...

I also agree with the newbie comment... I have been lurking on the forum for a bit now, just did not register earlier as I could see all the threads without registration.. Having said that, this is a great place and I've already learnt a lot from experienced folks here.. Thanks!

for the record, we have the tamron 28-75 f/2.8 and it has been a GREAT lens. its also a full frame lens if someone decides to go full frame at some point. wont have to replace it. its built well, and the image quality has been good. we have no complaints at all.
