Fujifilm GFX 50R is out (100S announced)

I think the 50R looks quite pretty. The 100S not so much.

I'm trying to think what else to say but neither announcement is really much of a surprise.

I'm trying to think what else to say but neither announcement is really much of a surprise.

I watched a video yesterday on it. Xphotog has used a pre production model for 3 months. He liked it so much, he sold his 50S. Apparently, they're coming out with a 50mm pancake for it as well.

This will be another huge kicker for product shots. Phase One has already discontinued all their 44x33mm sensors, this step will bring them into even more trouble.

I am thinking very hard of getting into the Fujifilm G system. The image quality is amazing, and I'm very happy with what I have already, but this is a step higher. I would need better autofocus though. The 50S and 50R just dont work sufficiently well with moving subjects.

Unfortunately it will probably take a while until we see a 100R. The 100 Megapixel 44x33mm Sony sensor is probably still a lot more expensive than the 50 Megapixel predecessor.
