You would pleasantly surprise that it is
not much bigger or heavier than some conventional digicams. The most
obvious difference is that Fuji's 10-megapixel shooter employs two
lenses, spaced about the same distance apart as human eyes, which allow
for the taking of simultaneous photos of the same scene from different
angles. This is where the 3-D magic originates. When two slightly
different images are presented discretely to the right and left eyes of
a viewer, that person's brain combines them into a single image,
resulting in a stereoscopic illusion of depth. Read more..
 
Yeah, kinda like those little 3-d picture thingies we all put up to our eyes and clicked from pic to pic as kids in the early 60s... the concept is far from new... and I think it is a brave step in that direction... but I sincerely doubt it will ever become mainstream.

I noticed that they did not even offer a sample picture of what it could do... I bet that is becuase of marketing reasons, and that the final results won't be all that impressive in the end.
