Yes, but if you use an online DOF calculator, you input camera, lens length, distance. You get different result of DOF for different sensor camera.

That article doesn't take into account framing. If you shoot the same lens at the same distance and the same aperture on crop and ff, then there won't be a difference. In the real world no one does that. When you're shooting full frame you either move closer to the subject, or use a longer lens to obtain the same framing, in which case the DOF is more shallow.

The OP has switched from 10mm to 14mm, so an adjustment in aperture will be necessary to compensate.

The difference is not a myth. Maybe under controlled conditions that have nothing to with the subject being photographed, you can rule out sensor size. But when you're taking an actual image of an actual subject, you have less DOF on FF.

Part of the calculation in those tables depends on the maximum acceptable CoC, which will vary from sensor to sensor, and also from person to person.

This is correct. My 10mm on cropped sensor is like 15 mm on full frame. However to get the same field of view on full frame with the 14mm lens I believe my distance to the subject is changed, so I have to be closer due to no magnafication. Which results in a harder time getting that hyperfocal distance.

So after taking a hundred photos tonight (I wont bore you with them) my d800 may have the focus problem. One of the bottom left focal points does not focus properly, but the rest seem to ok. It misses focus repeatedly, so thats an issue.
For the DOF I was finding that for subjects about 12 inches away I need to use f/18 at 14mm to get infinity in sharp focus. f/16 worked decent, but not stellar.
On the 14-24 diffraction became noticable at f/20.
