"Full Rush" | Almost Soaked my Camera

Beavertail State Park in Jamestown Rhode Island is one of those places that never ever disappoints, but I'm always mildly afraid I'll soak my camera. Why, you ask? Because the large waves come in random intervals, with lots of smaller waves in between. Those smaller waves give me confidence, and I move lower and lower on the shore, edging closer and closer to the incoming water. Only to be surprised by a huge wave, often times having to pick up my camera mid-shot to avoid soaking it. Lately, I've been a lot less stressed about it, because I finally insured my gear.

That being said, I'm really really glad I went out last night. Met up with a few local photographers, and shot for almost two hours. Loved every minute of it, and got some solid material. The image below is my first composition from the night.

Lovely as always, I wouldn't have guessed this to be night if not explicitly mentioned. How long was the exposure?

Looks good. I'd almost eliminate the sky entirely though, probably would have had the top of the frame be barely over the horizon.

I do like the shot though!

That wouldn't help all the filters though.. Those get splashed a lot.

I do like the shot though!

I thought about it, but cropping out the sky made the image unweighted. The sky balances out the foreground, in my opinion.
