Fun with Food Coloring

Ripped from my blog: I've experimented with some water shots in the past, but never with food coloring. I've seen some of these shots online before and I figured today would be a good time to try. After bribing my girlfriend with some Godiva Chocolate she decided to graciously help me out.

These shots were created outside with thet help of the sun, a fast shutter speed, a sheet of paper for the background, and a clean glass of water. I set my camera on burst mode (6fps) and used manual focus to keep the food coloring in focus. I thought they turned out pretty cool! Enjoy!

The composite is nicest in the end. Tells the whole story! Nice colour, too. Say hallo to your GF from me, and thanks for helping you! Nice little experiment.

I love the little montage, IMO it'd make a nice print. May I say, though, that I think the whole series is just a little overexposed; I can't see the middle of the glass.
