Fun with Fruit

Last weekend when we did the waterdrops my wife needed to take a few shots for her daily shoot asignement.
We pulled out the DIY lightbox, reflector and flash. She needed a shot of a metal object or surface. So she came up with the spoon and strawberry idea.

And ofcourse this strawberry ended up in her lunch. Ad some milk and 2 people into photography and here is what happens

It's great to enjoy this hobby together. We don't ***** at eachother when someone needs to hold a diffuser/reflector/flash :mrgreen:

I like the first one, but i think the contrast could be brought up a little.

The first one - the berry on the spoon suggests it is to be eaten but the green part is still on. Secondly I think it would look better if the DOF included the whole spoon.

As the status quo said..#1 it is.

The shadow cast and the bowl outside of the frame in #2. Maybe shoot a little closer to the fruit next time :drool:

True, but the green does contrast nicely with the red. Agreed with the DOF. smaller aperture it is next time.

As soon as we can save up for a 70-200 f4 we will. This was as close as we could get with the 85mm on our tripod.
