Future Canon XTi Price

Now that the Canon 350D (Rebel XT) is being discontinued and the XSi is being released, is there a good chance that the price of the XTi will drop significantly?

Yes for the used market.
Perhaps if a retailer needs to offload old stock through sales.
No if the old stock is destined to be sold other wise.

My local camera shop is selling 400Ds for cost because of the new 450D.

Though I'd save a bit extra and go for a 40D.

They already have been dropping for the last 2 months or so and that's why I got one. What's interesting is that so many people buy the 400D with kit lens that it is about 100 USD cheaper than the body alone in one of the most popular Polish online stores. Weird but true.

I just bought mine w/lens kit for under $600....I dont know if thats great but I know last summer I saw it for $1200...so it seemed really good to me!
